Header Heat Hi Folks
Yesterday, I had the car idling and playing around with the tuning. I measured the outside temperature of the SLP LT headers (#1 & #2). Cylinder #1 measured 571 degrees F and # measured 470 F. I know it is outside temperate of the headers but I would have expected them to be closer. Any thoughts on the subject?

I have seen that alot. Not necessarily on LS1s but I monitor the temp of the headers on my dragster and there are certain cylinders that run 100 hotter. If you are worried about it the best thing possible would be to do an injector balance test if you know someone or shop with the tester to make sure that cylider is not lean. But what you said does not suprise me.
