Very interesting. What would these headers do to cam selection versus the more common 1 3/4" headers?

I am ready to buy some headers and I keep coming back to these for the price. However I have been getting conflicting info on them. Jegs says that they are 1-5/8 stepped to 1-3/4 tubes but hedman website as well as a tech that I talked to on the phone today said 1-1/2 to 1-5/8. I will give links to both examples.

You will have to click on Tork Step and then on Passenger car, and then on Chevrolet or Pontiac, then Camaro or Firebird

They are 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 steped headers, measured them.

As far as cheap headers go you can't beat em best bang for the buck, If your gonna go for the coated ones, might as well go with pacesetters. I'm running the hedmans 1 5/8's stepped to 1 3/4. They say the y-pipe can be used with cats, but I don't see how you could... other than that they bolted right up, no problems with fitment and they sit nice and tight. Also, the y-pipe fit pretty good with my exhaust. I dyno'd 335hp and 348tq, at that time I had the LT's, ORY, Corsa, UD Pully, SLP Lid and maf. This is my 2000 m6. So I would say the powerloss from the step design or 1 3/4 straight isn't much at all. Def would reccomend these headers!
