MAF Housing/Porting

I am basically stock with the excpetion of the fra mod and a catback, I was wondering if a new mass housing and porting my maf would give me any gain of if it would just screw things up like an aftermarket maf?

if you're gonna port anything, port your tb. Here.

it will yield 4-8hp. depends on how well you do.

In that writup didn't that guy bolt the throttle blade on wrong? The blade is supposed to go in between the shaft that holds it. It looks like he bolted it on the front of the shaft instead of inbetween.

What he said. Don't even touch the maf unless your just taking the screen off. Lots of people see power loss and end up buying new maf ends. But definately get you throttle body ported... it worked wonders on my car.

Here's another "leave the MAF alone..."

It's funny, though... Back in '98 and '99, a ported MAF housing was one of those "must-do" mods. Now it's a big no-no.
