Default LS1 Airlid design

Recently purchased an MTI airlid. Wondering if it is suppossed to be a solid design or two pieces molded together. The round part at the back of the unit is molded onto the airlid. Not sure if I got a defective one or not. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

IIRC all aftermarket lids are the two piece form.

IMHO SLP makes the highest quality lid. I base this on the fact that the plastic is more durable, and it matches the material that the stock intake components are made out of.

my slp lid is garbage. it will eventually get replaced. only thing that comes close to oem build quality is the blackwing lid, which oddly enough is made by slp.
