Default got rid of RASP

seems like i'm always changing my exhaust. few months back i got the jet hot Y pipe because my new spohn torque arm was hitting my custom Mufflex Y pipe. So I get the Jet hot y pipe and the merge is disgusting. So i had mufflex weld in a new magnaflow merge collector and at the same time i replaced my random technology cat-back with SLP dual/dual. Problem is now i get crazy rasp. So i had Mufflex weld in an 18 inch bullet muffler. That left no room for the cutout, so we moved that to right before the exhaust tube bends over the axle. We also put a 3 bolt flange in that same area so when i need to drop some weight, i can disconnect the entire cat-back and lose 50 lbs. New exhaust hanger added to that area so the I-pipe wouldn't drag when the cat-back is not attached. When capped up, my car is DEAD quiet!! no joke. But opened up, it sounds beautiful. no more rasp and when uncapped, it sounds deeper and more refined than it used to (pre-bullet and uncapped). Me like a lot

Thats looks great!! Very good idea about the flange so you can disconect the entire catback. Also does that electric cutout seal pretty good?

Im going to do like SUX2BUs car. His setup is bad ***. Two bullets then a cutout after each. No rasp at all plus you can cap it and its quiet. The best of both worlds

Default Cutout question...

Hey 2MCHPWR my mechanic at a local performance shop suggested the same thing except I have SLP LM and am stock besides that so far. Im getting Mac Mids with a Catted Y pipe and he suggested putting the cutout right after the Resonator to give it a more deep tone before the pipes twist and bend over the axle. He said it wont be too raspy with the cats and that it would sound good with the cutout after the Resonator. Anybody disagree or have any other suggestions???? Thanks for your help.

My rasp completely dissapeared when I changed to LS6 heads that were milled .055. I think the shape of of the combustion chamber is slightly different and the additional compression makes for a no-rasp sound...
