Default Removing TCS???

I was thinking about removing my TCS but I am not sure what other implications that it would have on the car. Is it tied into the ABS system???. I see one cable coming from the Gas pedal through the firewall into a device that I am told is the TCS module???? can this be removed and just hook the throttle cable to the throttle body directly instead of going to the module. also would this effect the cruise control??? any help would be greatly appreciated b/c I just want to clean up the engine bay a little bit. I will post pictures later in the day.
thanks
Wesley
