Default Supermaxx headers-Did the "search" but need more feedback!

Awesome GP going on right now for a price far better than previous GP's so i am debating getting them.

Spent a while doing a search on them and not too much info. Most seem to like them but apprently they are basically stainless versions of FLP's which in the past have known to have some fitment issues.

For the price of this GP though, you can't beat it for LT's with Y-pipe and cats in full T304!!

I have looked at them, they look gorgeous and are made of top notch material. Almost every header as some fitment issue, and if the price is right, I would get them. They will not gain more power over any other header, but you get a lot of stuff in the package and it is made of great material.

If they had the ability to easily switch between cats and off road pipes just like FLPs then I would have a set already, but the cats are permanently fixed to the Y pipe and they also only come with the EGR and AIR fittings/provisions (as far as I know), I prefer the 'race style' headers with no 'doodads' sticking out of them.
Plus, just like the FLPs and SLPs they have that really short collector, not sure if it matters much on a bolt on car but that really bothers me.

Thanks guys.

LS1LT1,
thanks for that tidbit of info. I am confused about the cats though, so what do you do when you want to replace them with new cats?

Well hopefully you won't have to for many miles/years but in the event that you do have to it would be done the same way as with any other cats that are welded/part of pipe, cut them off and reweld the new ones in. I think they're flanged on one end of the cats but welded to the Y pipe on the other?
FLPs which look so similar of course have 'V' clamps that allow them to be easily removed/replaced.
