PaceSetter
Man what a POS the Y-pipe I got from PaceSetter is. I am not an exhaust man but I am very unpleased with this thing. I put both the headers and the Y-pipe on the car and it hit and I have tried most everything including taking it to an exhaust shop. The y-pipe hits the floor board and drive shaft so hard that the knock sensor is picking it up and pulling so much timing out that the car seems to almost die for a second on the launch not to mentions the light show under the car. The exhaust shop suggested one of three things. 1-bend the Y-pipe, which I am not excited about as I got a mandrel bent piece to keep from having exhaust restrictions, 2- Beat the mess out of the floor board (Not overly thrilled about this idea either.) or 3- Put a set of duals on it. Can anyone give me any feedback tonight on this issue as I plan to be at the exuast shop tomorrow morning at 8:00-AM. Thanks in advance to any and all advice. Cheers !!!

You can sandwich in a piece of radiator hose between the Y and the floorboard on the driver's side. This seems to be what many here including myself have done with great success. Now about your Y hitting the Drive Shaft; I really don't know what you could do. If your Y pipe is really that bad then you should switch to TDs. good luck.

Go with a 2.5" Y pipe maybe? But then you'd have to get a 3" to 2.5" reducer for the header collectors and then yet another 2.5" to 3" step for the I pipe.
I may have this same issue if I ever put on my Jet Hots with Hooker ORY.

Since you already have the y-pipe. Just use some radiator hose on the drivers side. I did this to mine, and I have no more smacking the floor. Car also stop picking up any knock.
