Stock Y-pipe question

Stock Y-pipe question I've just noticed this recently, it appears that my Y-pipe is starting to hang low. Is it's normal position flush against the car or is it supposed hang that way?
I only noticed it because I walk up a couple steps from the front door to the street and as I was walking to my car a couple days ago, I was like "What's that underneath my car?" Saw that it was the y-pipe. So again, just wondering if it is normal for it to hang or be flush.
