LS6 intake

Is there anyway to tell an LS1 intake manifold apart from an LS6 just by looking at it? I'm still trying to figure out what all's been done to my car before i've had it...don't want to spend 300 bucks replacing an ls6 with another ls6.

do you have the egr tube going to the top of the intake?

although slp sells a ls6 intake that has the egr on it, yours is a ls1 b/c it is a 98

So replacing the intake with the ls6 without the egr hookup isnt going to mess anything up or throw a code?

it will throw a code...you will either have to live with it or get it deleted...it won't mess with performance any...might add <5hp with it being taken out...since it does block the airway somewhat...but i doubt you will see much of a difference...now the ls6 intake however you will see/feel a difference from what i hear...good for ~15-20hp from the results that people have shown
