Corsa muffler problem

I have a Corsa exhaust and I think the muffler is shot. How can I tell for sure. For starters here is what I am dealing with, when I start the car it is now loud as hell, like it was when I was running open headers, and when I get on the gas it is very raspy. Also when I let off the gas my car back fires, is this because of the muffler or is there something else I should be worried about, help please, and thanks

How old is it? Sure sounds like the insides have blown out to me.

It sounds like an older Corsa system. They had alot of problems with the internals and welds coming apart.

So it is the muffler then, thanks, I will be contacting Corsa of the problem then.
