Default I'm thinking of putting the cats back on

I want to make my car more of a sleeper. Also, my wife wouldn't say my car stinks. Which one flows the best, Random Techs? I really don't know since I never cared b4.

The Random Tech's flow a tad more CFM than the comparable Carsound or Magnaflow cats. However, they cost considerably more. Carsound @ Magnaflow are the same company the only difference in the cats are the shiny heatshield that Magnaflow's get. When I was cam only I made 399rwhp @ 386rwtq with an ORY. On the dyno added the QTP 3" Magnaflow catted Y and lost 9 rwhp @ 7rwtq over the ORY. I then added my PP Stage II heads and netted the current in sig 416rwhp @ 391rwtq. HTH

I think he was talking about which one specific, I am assuming the catted y was using #94106 Magnaflows.

Maybe, but I got the impression he saw all of the different names (ie: RT, Carsound, Magnaflow (the latter two being the same company now)) and just got confused as to which ones generated the dyno numbers mentioned...maybe not.

I would tend to stay away from Random Techs. I hear many many horror stories of them blowing out. Never heard of any problems with the carsound/magnaflows

The numbers mentioned are from the QTP MAGNAFLOW Catted Y pipe. It utilizes the 3" high flow Magnaflow cats, can't remember the part number off my head. They are a great flowing cat with reportedly long life compared to other brands ie Bassani. The 03 Cobra guys have had good luck with them as well.
