The March pulley is close to the stock weight. I would think that in the long run it would probably be better for the balance of the engine. Maybe. I really don't have anything to back that up.

Agreed, and any weight in general off the front of the car provides an indisputable benefit as well.

Seems like some comp between March & ASP, lol. Glad to see that everyone thinks its a good buy....it seemed to be a cheap way to add a little extra get-up. Thanks for everyone's advice.

Default Harmonic Dampers

Hey guys what's up. There one thing that I haven't seen anyone discuss is that almost every Cup engine uses ATI and they spin to 9k. In a fluid dampener you have a weight floating in silicone fluid , so what happens when you leave the starting line then shift @ 7k and your rpm's drop. That weight isn't going to immediately match the current rpm's. I believe the fluid damper are good and work very well @ lower rpm's but if you like rev's (like me) I don't think the ATI can be beat. They're available in steel and aluminum and they're adjustable and rebuildable. All you have to do is change the o rings whether you need harder , softer , or just new. And for the best part $$$$$$ anywhere from $400 - $500. You get what you pay for . I would like to see a dyno , track , and engine teardown comparison of these damper , but I always ask for a lot .

Oh yeah, that reminds me. I was reading somewhere that because some of the weight is fluid, it does not add as much to the rotational weight.
