Help..Oil Sensor is not working right.

I recently did my LS6 intake swap, but when I was pulling the old one off I broke the sensor on the back of the block. Well, I finaly got it all back together with a new one but now when I start up my car, the gauge just pegs out completly. It doesent stay at zero, it goes past the last number and pegs on the other side.

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong or if I have to to something specific to correct this?

pull the plug out and wiggle it around.......

when i broke mine (we all do the first time), it was pegged so i plugge it in... broken, it then went to zero

the wire is broke off to the sensor- unplug it and check out the two leads

Its a brand new sensor. D you think it broke when I plugged it back in?

check the plug/wire going to the sensor not the sensor
