Hooker Catback Fitment

I ordered a Hooker Catback and I was wandering if the I-pipe is 3" where it meets the Y-pipe or did they reduce it to fit the stock Y-pipe.

Mine was reduced. Also the ory from kooks was reduced, like stock y. so it schould fit on a stock y and aftermarket y.

It is reduced. I took it to a muffler shop so they could expand it to fit with the "oversized" pacesetter y-pipe.

Yes, most aftermarket catbacks are reduced to fit the stock y-pipe. As is most y-pipes are made to fit most catbacks.

My brother had to do the same thing when he got the pacesetter y-pipe, it is a POS anyways

Oh well just more welding for me...I just installed Mac mids and ory, and I am putting a flowmaster y collector on so it will be 3" out. I should not have any problems expanding it this much should I?

No problem...you may be able to just cut the reduced section off, as the Flowmaster collector is longer than the MAC collector...check first though.

Ya that worked out pretty good cause I had to hack the I-pipe anyways...
