Yeah, I have everything to throw the cam in except an underdrive pulley and oil pump. I purchased a ported throttle body from another member on this site and it wasn't epoxied. I was just wondering if there were any dyno numbers to prove that the epoxied holes were better. I am hoping for 400 rwhp with the F12, LS6 intake, underdrive pulley and ported throttle body. We'll see in about a month.

I'll ask NoseUp to chime in on that. He's done some pretty serious flow testing w/throttle bodies, maybe he's compared the effects of epoxy/no epoxy. Good luck w/the cam!!

My guess is that it would be imperceptible... mayve 1 or 2 HP. If your car is gonna hit 400, I dont think the epoxy will be the breaking point. Ive seen an F-11 cam hit 404 through cats, so I wouldnt be surprised if you hit your mark.

OTOH, if you wanted to epoxy it up yourself, its not hard. The JB putty is easy to work with. I used some bic pens coated in silicon to make the holes, and just squished the putty around them. I cut some notches in the aluminum for the putty to grab on to so that it couldnt possibly fall out too.

GuitsBoy is right....its pretty easy. I go one step farther and rough sand the area before applying the JBweld....and I mean rough...so that it stays. Get it in the stick form and its a breeze to work with.

Cool, thanks for your replies. I'll post up my results once I install the cam. I'll probably just keep the throttle body without the holes filled, because the cam install and tuning will take up most of my free time. Not only do I want to hit 400 rwhp, but I am hoping that I have a killer torque curve to go with that. My duals should help with the torque.

Epoxying that hole takes about 15 minutes to do well, between mixing the epoxy and molding it into the prepped area. Then set it aside while installing the cam, and after its good and hard drill the holes. Its worth your time

I don't believe we tested w/ and w/o epoxy differences on a dyno. Though you may not notice a difference with a butt-o-meter, it's a beneficial mod. Flow rate would for sure improve.
