Default Ls6 intake install question..

Well I am installing my new LS6 intake right now.. and i've been reading posts and doing searching on methods for the coolant lines.. I see that some people buy new lines, other modify their stock lines, and other dremel the bottom of their intake.. I was planning on dremeling all the little ridges off the bottom of the intake so it's cheaper and less time consuming..

Does anyone disagree with the plan? Is there an chance that something bad could happen to the intake while dremeling the ridges off? Or is it completely safe to do and as safe as all of the other methods? Please let me know what you think as soon as you can..

I did plenty of searching i'm just wondering if its completely safe.. Thanks!

i pretty much did mine that way, but i put grease on the coolant tubes then lightly set the intake on that way i could tell where the tubes ran and only cut what was necessary instead of cutting all the ridges off. i had to set the intake on there several times to get it correct, but i think it was worth it. i have not had any problems yet and its been on for about 8 months.

alright cool.. i was planning on doing something like that.. i'll probabaly do it that way.. seems like its easier than spending money on new lines.. or modifying them to fit.. Thanks a lot for your reply

sounds like more of a hassle to me? why not just get the correct lines and drop it on once?

well i used the dremel last night.. and just pulled off the coolant lines and put them on there to see where i had to dremel.. i had them pretty close.. I got the front to set right down.. but the back is still rocking or something.. not sure if its the coolant line or a wire underneath it or something.. I might have to dremel more.. It only took me a half hour to dremel it.. saved me $40 or so.. and i just need to dremel a little more and it will fit perfect!

the green plastic connector on the wires doesnt allow the intake to go flush, have to remove them and the tape.
