Quick lid question

Quick lid question I have a 02 Z28 and I'm going to get a lid for it. TSP/MTI/Direct flo one of those. I already searched and found out that only SLP has the little hole on the neck of the lid for the AIR tube. So my question is, for instance I get a TSP lid (I know their back ordered) and install it, all I need to do is plug the tube with a little breather and secure it? I wont have any issues with codes?
I wouldnt expect to because the tube was drawing filtered air from the lid and now its just drawing filtered air from the breather right. I just want to make sure I'm right, a couple answers will do and this thread can die. Thanks in advance.

You will not get a code for unplugging it and putting a breather on it. The tube is only for retreiving air. With it being in the lid, it was getting cleaner air. If you put a breather on it, you will get the same clean air as it was getting before.. so no real changes have been made

I had the SLP lid.. I just plugged the hole in the side of the lid, and yanked out the AIR system altogether.
