Is it worth changing my exhaust setup? I have stage 2 5.3's from Absolute Speed w/ 230/236 cam. I have Hooker LT's with OR y-pipe with Loudmouth catback. Would I see a decent if any gain by going to say a....set of Kooks 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 stepped headers and maybe doing duals???

larger headers are good for a bit more up top in the Hp curve, but not worth in when comparing $/Time vs. improvements. They did an article on that like 2 months ago in CHP, the 7/8 were worth like 10 hp over the 3/4, but TQ is lost because of this. Loudmouth is about as freeflowing as it gets IMO
I'm in the same boat as you, I was thinking of going with either the edelbrock stepped, or the Kook's SS stepped, with either a 3" TD setup, or keep my Mufflex Y and go with either a 3.5" or 4" Mufflex catback......

Youll probably gain more tq under the curve where it counts by switching to TDs. The sound will be alot better.
