Nope, QTPs just like Kooks will be stainless, which generally doesn't require a ceramic coating unless you want it for looks.

Another vote for QTP's. I love them with my gmmg. 02WS6Bird, glad to see you finally ordered some, you should stop by J-town sometime.

i'd say qtp because of their merge collector...and their stainless steel...and their fit...and the look good...well i don't see why not to get qtp UNLESS you are concerned about price...which i was/am that is why i have pacesetters

Hookers are on my car....
123.73 MPH in the 1/4 threw an A4.
But if I were to switch I'd go SS Kooks all the way...

I researched this quite a bit myself. I have not found anyone unhappy with QTP's. There is a little complaining about their y-pipe but I think most of that is due to who is installing it.

I ordered mine today.

I got the Kooks stainless 1 3/4" with no cats and have no complaints with them other than the price. I bought them from some small performance shop and paid about $100 too much. If you are going to use cats I would suggest going with the FLP's. Although my friends FLP's did not line up worth a damn they are by far the best clearing headers that I have seen with cats. I have friends that have the Kooks and QTP headers w/ catted Y-pipe on their cars and the FLP catted Y-pipe clears much better than both of them. If money is an issue than you can't go wrong with the Hookers. From an installation point of view both the QTP and Kooks are the easiest to install. It took me and a friend 2-3 hours to install those headers using a lift. You are going to gain pretty much the same horsepower with all LT's (1 3/4" w/ regular collectors) so power really is not an issue.

Just my $0.02

if you dont want to spend a fortune for the best of the best (stainless QTP's or Kooks), get some coated pacesetters. i love mine, they look great, and slid in like butter. i coulda put 'em in with one hand and not touched the sides

i dont see why you wouldnt buy pacesetters if you diddnt want to pay for stainless. no problems with mine at all.
