Again, I can't see why anyone would pay more than what the Harlan costs. It's a great light, very easy to install, and very easy to program. Go to Installuniversity to see how to install it in the A/C vent. Some people also put it where the defroster vent is in the front left A pillar. By the way, I got mine in a couple of weeks, well worth the wait!

The only reason I got the Raptor over the Harlan was because I needed it now, not two months from now.

I mounted mine using velcro, works well. I did angle mine towards me and it is very, very hard to miss even during the day. And at night it is almost blinding, but since it is in the vent you can close the vent and still see the light on within the vent at night. I love it !!

Thanks for any help,

I am getting the raptor shift light. Will be installing it in the AC vent. The install looks fairly easy on the sites mentioned before.

It only lights up at a certain RPM. Normally a high RPM (5800, 6200, 6500, etc). So, unless you go WOT at every stop light or stop sign, you don't need a switch.

Go with the Harlan I ordered mine and had it the following week. I opted for the blue LED's and it's not hard on the eyes, but it's also not pointing directly at me either. Install in the center vent as well.

The blue LEDs on my raptor show up very brightly, even through the AC vent, in the middle of the day.

They are very hard to miss.

I have red in my other car, a bit harder to see.

As far as colors, I searched on this site and most people stated that red was the best color at night to retain good vision.

Has anyone with a T/A put it in the AC vent? The Camaro guys just have to slip off the cover; we don't have one. My Harlan is in the A-pillar, red, and on really bright days it's hard to see. At night of course it lights up the entire car. I did get it in one week 2 years ago.
