starter engaging when battery is hooked up?

starter engaging when battery is hooked up?

98 z28 a4
I just got done putting my engine back in after some mods cam etc. so when I hook the battery back up the engine tries to start. the key is out of the ignition and the car is in park. what have I done wrong? any help would be great thanks.

figured it out. the purple wire was touching the red wire.
