Default Am I hitting the rev limiter

Since I put the Magnaflow exhaust on I get a different exhaust sound between 1-2 shift and a slight bog. This is a 2002 Camaro SS with an A4. I did a search and see that several people have asked about this but no one has come up with a difinative answer as to what is causing this. I have a Hypertech and could bump up the limiter by a couple a hundred rpms but don't want to go through it if that is not the answer. What is the stock rev limiter set at? How many rpms is the 1-2 shift set at stock? It is a like what is being described here:

If you hit the rev limiter, you will know it. Stock rev limiter is set at 6200 rpms, IIRC.

The rev limiter in my a4 is 6200 stock. When you hit the rev limiter it is VERY obvious. But with stock internals there is no reason to raise your rev limiter. Is this happening at part-throttle shifts or wot?

I wonder if certain cars came with a different limiter set on it What are the stock specs on your car? A4? Gears? Tires?

Since you say this started to happen after the exhuast install, make sure it's not hitting anywhere causing knock retard. If you rule that out, a-tap the car and look for KR, and see if it's throwing any codes. The only other thing it could be, but I doubt... broken 1-2 shift accumulator piston - they are plastic.
