Exclamation Thrown Codes after Header Install

Had my Jet-Hots thrown in this week, now I'm throwing a few codes

P0300 - Multiple/Random Cylinder Misfiring

P1133 - Manufacuter Control Fuel Air Meter

The new headers had no provisions for the EGR tubes, so it's just sitting in the engine bay right now, I left the EGR tubes and **** in there with the sensor still plugged in. I'm just waiting for the blockoff plates so I can completely remove the system. Is there any way to fix those other codes, or what would cause them? Thanks in advance.

Check your plugs/plug wires...that's probably what the misfiring code is about.

Well I also noticed that it sits at a high idle for a really long time, Now the EGR is disconnected, although it was doing this before I removed that. It sits right at about 1500 RPM's then sometimes slowly works it's way down, and other times doesnt come down at all. Any ideas about that?

have you had the car edited? have the egr and turned off? Could cause the car to do some screwy things. Misfires would probably be plug wires as stated.

I haven't gotten a chance to get the EGR edited out quite yet, all the plugs seemed seated properly, but I didn't have time to fully check them and take them out, Anyone have a reccommendation for the back two on the left side?

With that 1133 code and your high idle condition sounds like you a vacuum leak to me. A vacuum leak will also cause a random misfire. Look and listen for any type of sucking/hissing noise.

to make the back 2 the easiest just take the coil packs off, bracket and all, when you put them back just leave the 5th bolt in the back out, no problems. OTher than that, get some band aids

yeah. i changed out my whole exhaust last week and put in some ngk spark plugs and I'm throwing the P0300 code too. I don't think it's the spark plugs because last time I installed some Bosch spark plugs and the misfire was obvious. My exhaust was popping and my "service engine soon" light was coming on and off which indicates a misfire. My car is running better with those Ngk Plugs so it must be a vacuum leak. What do you guys think?

I checked all my lines, I think, Every one I could find anyways, I couldn't see any other lines that they might have taken off to put the Headers in. I'm gonna order some new plugs and wires and see if that does the trick I hope so. Also gonna try to have the EGR programmed out of the PCM. Hope this works it's a real pain now, sounds beautiful though almost like it's cammed.

So i got the codes turned off but discovered cylinder 1 was firing sporadically, so plugs and wires are on the way. Also found that an O2 sensor is going bad. When I got my other codes turned off they turned off the rear O2 sensors, is there any reason i can't move the o2 sim currently on the rear to the front dead sensor?

TIA

the front o2s are integral to determing a/f, do NOT put sims on them. although I think if you have your rear o2s they are the same as the front.

Well ****, Got the plugs and wires in and installed them today, car still runs like ***, pops the P0300 Random/Multiple misfire code, what else could be dead? This was just suposed to be headers and duals, no problem. Could it be the Coil Packs? I was told that one of my 02 sensors was bad so I did switch that out with the other one, but that shouldn't cause the misfire, right?

U switch it with one of the rears right? IF so no thats no reason to cause a misfire. Are ur wires touching the headers by chance?

I found out part of the problem, after closer inspection the idiots that put my headers in put the simm on the front.

They also lost the other extension to the 02 sensor on the drivers side so they pluged in the rear sensorto the only 02 sensor I have on the drivers side. So my buddy and I cut an old 02 sensor up and extended the wires to reach the front plug. The Misfire code finally went away, and the car runs decent now.

I am however popping a P0174 code, so I think I need new 02 sensors anything else that might cause that to pop? of course it could be that the ecxtension isn't the best in the world but it'll have to do for now. Until I can get the shop to order me a new extension out of there pocket.

What 02 sensors should I get when I do?

Well since the shop set it up wrong i would have them get the 02 sensor as well. Tell them it went out because they fucked it up.

So the saga continues, I finally got new O2 sensors and a new extension. Except it didn't fix the problem and now it's a new thing. The most recent development is a misfire on Cylinder 6 code and the car runs really ragged. It surges while driving no matter what RPM range and when sitting the idle can flucuate between 500 and 1500, but sometimes it stays at about 900-1000. Any ideas I'm at a total loss after replacing O2s extensions, plugs and wires. I checked the plug connection on Cylinder 6 as well as the rest of them and they are all on tight. Any ideas?

EDIT
: Forgot to mention that it backfires every so often as well.

OK looks like i may have fixed the problem. I took the entire coil rail off and took plug 6 out. Made sure everything was plugged in firmly and switched two of the coil packs. I also replaced the TPS and that seemed to clear things up, however, i still got a backfire once, but hasn't happened again. The idle doesn't vary so much now I think it might still be relearning though. It stays around 900-1000 sometimes up to 1100. Car runs stronger than before all the mods, but I remain wary. Thanks to everyone that has offered help and suggestions it is greatly appreciated, especially by a lurker with so low a post count.
