flowmaster 40 series race mufflers

flowmaster 40 series race mufflers anyone use these for their dumped true duals? case length is like 13 inches, 4 inchs thick...too long for a camaro?
going duals again soon i think the flowmaster 10 series might be a bit too loud for the local po's liking.
i have a 232/232 112lsa cam going in so i wanna exhaust thast going to sound great. I want it loud, but not like unrefined bullet loud. as long as the exhaust sounds good usually the cops locally dont mess with ya, unless its like glass shattering "omg i can't hear my harley over your car" loud.

I've got the single chambers and and all i can say about them is that they are awesome 
I haven't had any problems out of the local police with them, but i try to have sense about me when I am driving through town. Yes, it will get loud when you lay into it, but it sounds sooooooo good. The forty series will work, but like others said you will run into clearance problems. The reguluar singel chambers are 3" thick where the forty's you are talking about is 4. Here is a pic of my clearance with single chambers.
