water temp gauge Equus adapter

water temp gauge Equus adapter I'm installing a water temp gauge in the freeze plug above the starter. I bought the Equus adapter kit from AutoBarn and I'm wondering which adapter fits that location? Did i not need to order the kit since I'm not installing it in the head? Also, how much fluid would I lose doing the freeze plug? dependent on if the car is level or on some ramps. Thanks for the help guys

When I did mine I put it in the back of the passenger side head w/ the equus adapter. I'm sure you still need the adapter kit since its metric, but maybe just a different size than the one in the head. I just unbolted the plug, and kept my finger in it while i tried different sizes til one fit, so I dont know the exact size, but i only lost about 1/2 a cup of fluid. hope this helps

did anyone wrap the end of the sender so nothing could get to teh electrical connection? Also, should i put teflon tape on the sender threads AND on the adapter threads thats going into the block? or just on the adapter? Thanks
