Iron block and poly motormounts????

Iron block and poly motormounts???? I'm going with an iron block in the near future and was wondering if anyone has poly motor mounts and an iron block and if there is any more vibration in the car than with the stock mounts.
When I had my LT1 Z28 I had a poly trans mount and it tightened up the tranny very well and didn't cause any vibration, when I first got my 98 Z28 I installed A poly trans mount but in this car the vibration was unbearable, after a quick drive down the street I pulled it out and installed the stocker.
I know that aluminum doesn't absorb as much vibration as iron and was more than likely the reason for the mount not working well in this car.
I also read here that some people run a poly mount on the drivers side and keep the stock mount on the pass. side.
I just don't want to have any obnoxious vibrations in the car since it is my daily driver and I do take it on long trips.
