Misfires Help
Misfires Help Ok just had headers installed and worked through a lot of problems. The set-up is currently new Jet-Hots, TSP True Duals, !EGR, !AIR, !Rear O2 sensors (Deleted in PCM), new NGK Tr55's and MSD Wires also brand new Denso O2's on the front and a new TPS.
Now the car will occasionally shudder at idle after running a bit. it's pretty random as far as when it happens, but occasionally affects performance when i start to take off, it even backfired once. Also the idle is higher than it was before the Header install now idles at like 900-1000, and it will at times hang at 1500 then wind down when coming to a stoplight.
I had a spark plug wire resting against the headers and it was arcing, so i put the stock heat shield on to hopefully stop that. What could be causing the misfires?

Woooow. Change out the wires. If it was melted that is your problem. Sort of like a "Band Aid" over a severd finger.
Also get some fire sleeves for the wires and bend them so they are inbetween the primaries. Check the cponsors like Thunder, LS1speed, Texas Speed, etc..

Yeah I planned on putting the stock wire back on that plug as soon as I can let my car cool off, probably tonight, If it is fried is there any way to order just one MSD wire?
No I don't have a tune, but how would that effect my idle? I don't know much about tunes yet, so i've never heard of that as a problem.
