Default SLP 85mm MAF caution

This thing makes your car run very rich in the low and midranges, but very lean at high RPM's. When allan was tuning my car yesterday, I had forgotten to tell him I had it at first and the A/F was spiking real lean at the end to the point that he initally thought i was running out of fuel pump or injectors.

Yeah, general rule is to have the car tuned after installing one.

Got rid of mine, put the stock one back on!

Stock one 's are more than enough and switching it out can cause problems.

If the stock one is more than enough and it is smaller than the stock tb, why do people port the throttle bodies then? Also why do people get 90mm tb's and intakes and then use a stock maf? That really doesn't make much sense huh....If you tune the 80mm mafs they are fine and allow more air to flow than the stock maf.

Yep. I have a 90mm intake with a 85mm lid, why not get the MAF? Allan tuned it with no problems.
