hooker or flowmaster
I was going to get a flowmaster 3 inch cat back system but several people told me hooker is better. Is hooker loud or quiet. I don't know if the hookers will be loud enough. Have a flowmaster with stock pipes and I know how loud they are and think they sound good but everyone says hookers are better. I haven't heard hookers in person I don't want to quiet my car. I want it pretty loud, I don't really like loudmouth and I'm on some what of a budget(no borla/corsa etc)

Hooker. I've got one and love it for a catback system. It's presence is known under normal driving and when you go wide open it's pretty loud with out rasp. I've got long tubes though. You might try to go to www.ls1sounds.com and see what you think.
Also forgot to say a really cool feature of the Hooker Aerochamber cat back is that you can unbolt the over the axle pipe that goes into the muffler at the flange and you lose a little weight and can run open exaust at the track. Takes about 5 minutes if that w/out a jack. Reinstall is about 10 minutes. And that is pretty loud...

They are only about $290 right. You cant beat that. I guess I shlould get them. I am going to get header soon and on that ls!sound site they sounded good and Loud are they as loud as they seem on the site or are the microphoes right next to the pipes, Ithink stock's could sound loud. But I like the way the hookers sound.

I have made my mind up and in the spring I'll be going with the Hooker cat-back,I have been researching for about a month and have come up with no negatives other than it is close to stock sounding at idle.

I just put Hooker on and love it, had the Magnaflow before and it sounded great too but was just a little loud for me(im old I know) The hooker is perfect with lts and ory. I had the Flowmaster too and it sounded good but I picked up .4 with just going to the Magnaflow. Just my thought! I do have a Magnaflow for sale w/ 1k miles on it.

Here's a vid of my car with hooker. A camera can only catch so much, but it's an ok vid.

Like they said above, flowmaster is crap.
I've got the Hooker system, and the only way I'd ever get rid of it would be to make way for the GMMG catback.
Hooker aerochamber sounds bad *** on these cars...
