Default Pacesetter Y-Pipe

I knew this wasn't going to be perfect but I didn't expect it to be this diffucult. The headers went in no problem, the only problem is the y. Is it easier to put the y in the I-pipe first or put the y on the headers? I worked with it for a while and then realized I should just take it to the muffler shop and have them weld a collector to the end of the y and another collector on the I-pipe.

I put the y on the headers first and then it was a real PITA to get the I-pipe onto the catback. I had to unbolt the catback from the hangers so I could push it back a few inches and even then I had to pull straight down on the I-pipe and catback until the pipes would meet end to end. I was able to do this on a lift...don't think I could have done it w/o one or at least it would have been a lot harder.

I am not on a lift so I thinks that's out of the question.

As long as you can get the catback to move towards the rear of the car by about 3 or 4 inches you should be fine.

What if I just cut the y about an inch?

That would make it easier to install but just don't cut too much off since the catback is a slip-fit w/ the ORY
