Default upgrading alternator power wire

i want to run a 4 gauge wire to my alternator. i've got the wire all the way from my battery to the alternator, i just can't figure out the easiest way to get the old power wire off of the alternator and the new one on.

do you guys know the size of the bolt that attaches to the alternator? is there anyway to get the old power wire off and the new on one without taking the alternator or any other car part off? i would think i'd be able to reach it and handle this, but i actually don't know...also, do i need to go from the top of the car or underneath to get it? thanks!
