Direction to mount bullet muffler?

Hello. Anyone know which way to install a bullet muffler? Inside it is perforated with little air scoop looking things. Should the air scoops face towards the engine (would cause more turbulence) or facing to the back of the car?

i have used them on three different cars and never looked to see which way they faced, I personally don't think it matters.

doesnt matter

they arent air scoops, they its just a buncha holes.
