Ypipe on a Vert

Ypipe on a Vert I was helping a friend put headers on a SS vert yesterday. Took off the cross brace that ties into tranny mount to remove stock y pipe.
So here's the question(s).....is there a brace to use with a 3 inch y pipe? Or do you guys just leave it off? Would a regular brace from a Ttop car work?
I've worked on many LS1's but this was the first vert. Actually the first time I've really looked underneath one too. Couple other braces there that I don't have.

I ended up cutting mine up a bit. Then I decided that if I could just about bend it by hand, it was just dead weight and got rid of it. If he wants something with some strength, look into adding a driveshaft loop. The better ones have a nice solid piece that ties in a 2 places and he can just leave the loop itself off if he doesn't need it for the track.
Does he have subframe connectors? If not they need to be his next mod.

Just leave it off. If you are able to bend that thing with your hands, then what is it's purpose?
i have BMR weld in sub frames, so I just left mine off.
