Header Install Checklist
Header Install Checklist Whats up guys,
Planning a header install for this coming thursday and I don't want to forget anything that will prevent me from finishing. Here is what I bought so far.
Pacesetter headers and ORY compliments of 2k-z28
GM exhaust manifold gaskets
new exhaust manifold bolts
2 egr valve gaskets
new spark plugs
oil and filter for change
2 24" o2 extensions
waiting on 2 02 sensors
Am I missing anything? Thanks guys

Don't forget some exhaust clamps, don't want any pesky leaks.
If you have GM exhaust gaskets just reuse them, they are multilayer steel.
You probably want to torque the header bolts into the heads, don't want any stripped threads.

Thanks guys, yea I have 4 or 5 friends helping me, so hopefully the install will go smoothly. We have all the tools we need, I just wanted to make sure I had all the parts im going to need. Thanks guy. All the clamps should be coming with the headers and y-pipe. Also the headers are ceramic coated, but are starting to show a little bit of surface rust, what do you think about using some high temp paint on them?
