98 PCV replacement...do you guys re-wrap that crap back on?

98 PCV replacement...do you guys re-wrap that crap back on? Just as the title says. Do you guys re-tape the foam crap to the PCV or not? I was thinking about just leaving it off because the PCV is such a PITA to tape up.

I was going to add a new thread about re-wraping the old stuff back onto the pcv. But I just decided to wrap the pcv with black tape. And why didn't my new pcv valve not slide into the hose, like the old one? I wrapped the pcv with tape as close to the hose, hopefully no vacuum leaks and so far no ses light.
