yeah, i agree with qtps with cats, i did it and cant be happier, i under stand why people call it the best LT and Catback setup out there. kooks will work too though, cause Kooks and QTP are very similar, both are equally good. go with either and get cats, you wont regret it.

Cheaper route I went when I had my SS was Jet-Hot Coated Long Tubes and a Hooker Offroad Y... Either way you to decide to go that GMMG Exahust will sound great.

The GMMG I pipe is 2.75 at the Y pipe joint like most aftermarket catbacks to fit the stock Y.

true story...

I'm running LT's + ORY + GMMG and while at lower RPM's the rasp does sort of bother me, without cats, this exhaust honestly sings at higher RPM's, no BS about refinement ... I can tell from the guy's vid posted that his sounds different, but for now, i wouldn't trade how mine is without cats.

just my personal opinin of course

I was going to go on the QTP's, but I was at the LSX shootout this weekend and I talked to the guys from American Racing Headers. The design looked great, quality etc.
Not 100% sure I am going with them, I saw a guy on here had said he had the GMMG (which I do and LOVE them!) and the American Racing headers.

i have pacesetters, catted TSP Y-pipe, and gmmg. i like the sound but the car is slower with the gmmg vs the magnaflow that was on there. i have no idea why, but it is a little slower. i would not get the Y pipe that i have. the fit sucks in my opinion. i would like to get a whole new setup myself. i have heard a lot of good things with the american racing headers as well.

For the past 4 years I have been running the GMMG with SLP's LT header/high flow cats. I truely love the sounds of my car with this setup!

But as everyone knows, the SLP's hang low, and got pretty banged up over the years, so I've just gotten the car back yesterday after having a set of Kooks (1 3/4" S/S, Coated) installed, with thier S/S y-pipe & high flow cats.

All I can saw is wow...the tone is different, I'd say a little deeper. I love it even more...Especially with my new found ground clearance!!!!

IMO, any Catted mid/LT setup with the GMMG is going to rock.

No extra tubing...The GMMG came with an I-pipe long enough to make everything connect up....Kooks includes band clamps that seal well & look great.
