Default Exhaust Resonance

I have a 2001 Corvette 6 sp. Last yr. I installed a set of Stainless Works headers, Random Tech Cats and X pipe. The resonance in the car between 2200 - 2700 RPM drove me nuts. I ended up putting the stock cats and H pipe back on the car at the cost of some performance but my enjoyment of the car returned.

I just installed a set of titanium mufflers off a 2004 Z06. I expected the resonance to come back a bit more as this exhaust flows better but was surprised to find just the opposit.

Heres my question....is there any correlation between flow at the mufflers and exhaust resonation or are the stock titaniums just a superior muffler?
