I have an aFe filter and its time to clean it, i'd like to do it today but all I can find in my area is K&N recharging kits.
It would be ok to use K&N's kit right?

Neither was i until I looked for a label on the filter and found "aFe" then typed the same thing into a google search.
The site said it was reusable so I went ahead and used the K&N stuff and it came out really well. I did the fernco mod while the filter was wet and it came out great to.
Looks much better than the stock piece and the brand of coupling I picked up at Lowes was pretty flexible so no worries about a cracked airlid.
