Default jet hot Vs Hooker.... Longtubes...

I have heard that they are identical....
anybody know for sure???
and what differences do they really have if any???

I'm comparing longtubes without egr and air stuff on them

I remember the installation of my hookers on my old car being a piece of cake...didnt even have to remove the steering linkage....
but I'm considering the jet hots for the coating and lower $$$ after coating

any input is appreciated from those who have had both or know about both...

Thanks

only thing I know off the top of my head is that the 02 bungs for the jet hots are towards the inside, while hookers are on the outside

Hooker's are made of 16 gauge steel and jet hot's are 14 gauge I think.

I've got the race version 1 3/4" Jet Hots. They are a great header. They slid into place on my 99 SS very easy. I trimmed the k-member a little but other than that, it was very straight forward. Jet hots have the o2's moved to the inside of the header and hooker's have the o2s on the outside. Hooker's coating is no where near as good as jet hots. I have a friend who bought hooker headers, and before he put them on his car he sent them to jet hot to have them recoated. If I remember correctley the flanges and the primary tubes are slightly thicker on jet-hots than they are on hookers. I hope this helps. Here are a few pics of mine, on the car.

I also have jet-hots on my car, and I love them. I had no installation problems, and I did not have to grind anything or remove the steering linkage. I would highly recommend poly motor mounts though. I did that and they work great.
