which starter?

i have a 2004 6.0L.
can i use a starter from a 4.8 or 5.3?
how bout the f car and vette?
ive checked with the dealer and they all have a different part # for whatever reason.
i talked with jegs about a powemaster(bout the same price as a new stock one) and said they worked on all ls1 based engines. powermaster only has 1 part # for all engines.

figured id get an accurate answer here, dont wanna waste money.

The difference I've seen was in newer and older designs.

I believe the newer starters are the same (2 long bolts).

so the newer starters are 2 long bolts? makes sense. ive been seeing 2 different part #'s for starter bolts, but when i got starter bolts from the dealer for this motor they are both the same part #.
