Default Ignition help

Anybody know how to test the resistance of the pellet on our key? I need to know so I can splice in the resistor to start this monster that has been sitting in my driveway for 2 months

ya, get a multimeter (one that reads ohms). having the same problem right now, just hold one prong on each side of the metal pellets and it will tell you the resistance.

this site will tell you what key code you have as well as the range for acceptable resistance.

youre going to need to go to radio shack and buy part number 275-226(30 amp bosch style relay), as well as the correct resistors for your key. all this gets installed under driver side dash.

good luck
