Default What is this thing? (pic)

What exactly is this. It's on the underside of the car buy the coolant resvoir. Seems to have a vacume line attached to it that goes into the wire loom, I think it might be one of the ones that comes out by the computer. What the hell is it?

that vacuum line looks like the one that plugs into the back of the intake...i have no clue what it is though

Yeah, if it's the same line it also runs into a T by the computer . Almost looks like it could be part of the HVAC system. That would be my first guess.

Its a vacuum reservoir so when you have low manifold vacuum conditions, there will be enough stored vacuum to operate the HVAC duct work.

It could be, I don't think the new neighbors like my car all that much. Something about leaving for the track with open headers at 6:45 on a Sunday morning doesn't agree with them.
