Default Problems with stock tach

This may be in the wrong forum so if it is I apologize.

Since I put my window switch on my tach has been acting up. Every now and then when I gas it, the tach will stay where it was, then shoot up to where it is supposed to be. It only does it when I gas it or when I first start the car up. The window switch works fine but the tach is starting to be a pain in the a$$ because if I am in first, it tops out so quick that I have to shift before the tach catches back up. Any ideas?

I know Granatelli makes some really nice 200mph guages that are really accurate that or there is a surge somewhere in your tach wires that has to do with the window switch being installed.

The stock tach is already a slow piece of crap. Get a shift light and ignore it
