can the maf and tb be combined together?
ive got some clearance issues and I was just wondering if it would be ok to cut them both down and weld them together?
Is there some sort of rule as to how far the maf must be from the tb?
thanks

u tune your car with the maf off and leave it off. it just runs off of your ve table and low octane tables, i dont know what the other differences are but maybe otehrs can explain.
i have my maf gone right now, tuned it out with hp tuners, car runs GREAT. response is incredible. car runs very smooth as well. maf sensor is not a necessity. my friends s10 doesnt have one and it just runs richer in the summer. which isnt so bad really. only about an 8% difference in airflow.

Don't mess with speed density unless you have some serious tuning expertease! A lot of hot rodders run the MAF right in front of the TB. You can put it anywhere you want as long as it is before the TB!

i've been thinking of putting my maf right in front of TB, instead of lid->maf->bellows->TB, because i hate the angle at which the stupid fernco bellows sits. any suggestions if it's a good thing? i'm afraid that MAF readings might get goofy if TB closes suddenly and MAF gets a pushback of air that gets blocked, throwing off readings.
