QTP Electric cutout sizing?

QTP Electric cutout sizing? I just recieved my QTP 3" electric cutouts and the opening only measures 2.5" but they had slotted the flange to fit my 3" flange. WTF.
I know 2.5 will not flow as well as 3". I'm trying to get my car in the 10's this year and I don't think this would help.
Has anyone else seen this or did they just ship the wrong parts.

It's funny the pictures on their website do not show the slotted holes.
I think they are trying to make a common one for both the 2.5" and the 3". Otherwisie why the sloted holes.
If that is the case they can have it back, becuase it is not a 3" cutout, but a 2.5" not what I ordered.
And a 3" blade would fit in the 3" cutout becuase it gets smaller rapidly off the quadrent of the arc. Certainly could be bigger than 2.5"

Mine came the same way also. I think they are just trying to make the electric cutout universal to all the cutout pipes that they also sell. I have some pics posted in here of my cutout and what it look slike inside. Look inside the two pipes and tell me if they look like crap. If they do, then i wouldnt worry about the 2.5" butterfly effecting the airflow. I think the real restriction is where the two pipes meet each other.
