Default Strange, occasional stumble!?

Hey guys, once in a blue moon my car has a wierd stumble, I hit the gas and it starts to go and then chugs really wierd, like its running on 4 cylinders, and then it just goes. Like today, I pulled out of a parking lot, gave it some gas, and it chugged to 3,000 rpm and then took off like nothing was wrong, and it didnt do it at all the rest of the day, and the last time it did it was a few weeks ago. I don't have any exhaust leaks, I have brand new stainlessworks headers and brand new 02 sensors, the long corvette ones with the good heater circuit, so I doubt thats it. Any ideas?

No, no logger. Like I said it happens so rarely, I mean literally once, MAYBE twice a month.

Check for bad grounds on the back of the drivers side head. Same thing happened to me.

Check your plug wires. Sounds like one is coming loose.

I might just replace them. Theyre MSD wires but I've pulled them off so many times one of them may be loosening up. I had a problem with one already, after I got my car back together this winter, and fired it up for the first time it ran like **** and wouldnt idle. Checked all the plug wires, and pressed them in place extra good and PRESTO ran like a top.

Lucky for you, I cleaned my MAF/IAT sensor, replaced my K&N with Paper, replaced 7 of 8 plugs, changed the fuel filter, bought a new battery (needed one anyways), and bought new bandclamps before I figured out it was a loose plug wire that was causing my stumbling and stuttering.

Glad you didn't have to go through that mess.
