Default 1 7/8" headers on a 346?

Since the search function isn't working Are there any gains going to 1 7/8" Kooks race headers on a stock block 346 with a big cam (T-Rex) and stock heads over say Hooker LT's?

Look at some of David Vizards exhaust articles. It comes down to the flow of the exhaust ports of the heads. He has a chart in popular hotrodding that gives you a good idea of the optimal primary diameter for a given peak exhaust flow. In general the better exhaust flow of the head the larger primary size you want.

I've ran a 1 7/8's mid-length header on my car for years. In a high reving A4 setup, I don't see any disadvantages. But, not sure I would pull a set of good 1 3/4's off to run 1 7/8's.

Just trying to get every little bit of hp and tq out of it can

Thinking of going with a 90mm intake and tb also. There just isn't much information on how they do on a cam only 346

what i have read its not worth it unless you are using a power adder. if you want to put a power adder on later I would go with the 1 7/8.
