lt1 with a loudmouth

my buddy has a 97 ws6 and is buying a loudmouth from an 02 firehawk,

does he need a special install kit ??

just asking since they are 2 different engines

yes he does, slp's loudmouth exhaust was intended for the ls1, but slp sells a install kit, go check it out @ slponline.com...

Since it is a 96-97, he theoretically SHOULDN'T need the install kit. The install kit is a replacement bracket and a few bolts for the 96/97, for my 94 it was a whole s-pipe getup cuz it was single cat. That being said, if he is in any doubt, get the kit.

hopefully he won't need the kit. but what about that bracket and bolts you were talking about ??
