Grumbling noise from exhaust??
I have QTP headers, catted y, hooker catback, two bullet mufflers in the tailpipes going into the quad tip CME(center mount exhaust) for my exhaust system.
I have this grumbling noise under load sometimes. It was really bad a couple of weeks ago. I refit my y-pipe for additional clearance and it went away. I don't know what I did that changed it??
The noise is low and rumbling like the exhasut is touching something when it flexes. It will do it when I pull hard in any gear.
I have looked at everything under the car and the exhaust it not close enough to touch anywhere(the car was on jack stands with the rear axle supporting the rear).
Oddly, it was getting noisey the other day. I jacked it up and looked at it and found nothing. Now it seems to be gone??
All my clamps are tight. When I bang on the exhaust I cannot get it to make much noise.
Could this be a cat going bad that makes noise when the car it hotter??
Any other ideas would be appreciated!!
Thanks!!!
